How to Reach 8 Figures in 24 Months

When I worked as a business coach, I swore I would never start a business.


That’s because when I saw how hard business people worked, I didn’t want to have anything to do with that lifestyle.


Even though I knew how to make a business great, I didn’t want to waste my life building one - especially because I had a newborn that I wanted to grow up with.


So, I missed out on many years of potential success.


Maybe you can relate?


When I finally decided to start a business, after two years, I ended up with $4M in debt. 😳


But after learning many lessons, I decided I would try again. Except this time, I decided I would do it my way.

  • I promised myself I would only work 3 days a week.

  • I promised myself I would only work in a passive business.

  • And I promised myself I wouldn’t take any unnecessary risk.


Then, between 2015 and 2017, I made my first 8 figures selling Minecraft kids' books. I even got nominated for a Nickelodeon Kid's Choice award.


Then, between 2016 and 2018, I made my second 8 figures, selling binoculars to birdwatchers.


And I didn’t work more than a few hours a week each time.


I am not sharing this to impress you. I am sharing this with you to impress upon you that it is possible to reach 8 figures in less than 24 months.


And you can do it while only working a few hours a week.


Is it a Scam?


Now, most business people will tell you that it's really hard to make 8 figures. They say the only way to do it is to grind, hustle, and eat a lot of dirt. And your only chance is if you work 2X as hard as everyone else. And anything else is a scam.


But the truth is, when I worked on these two businesses, I hardly worked at all. And when I did work, it was really fun.


And no it is not a scam.


I just discovered one special key that made all the difference.


No, It wasn't partnering with influencers.

No, It wasn't having a following.

No, It wasn't having a personal brand.

And it definitely wasn't working 2X as hard.


It was one thing and one thing only.

Imagine you had a product that, when anyone heard about it, they desperately wanted it.


How hard do you think it would be to sell that product?

How hard do you think it would be to market that product?

How quickly do you think you would get to 8 figures?


That's the power of having an Irresistible Product.


You see when your product is irresistible, people want to buy it. You won't have to work so hard to market it. Your sales grow faster and faster each month. Your business will grow quickly, and you'll make more money with less effort.


Compare that with what most entrepreneurs do. Most entrepreneurs fail because their products are just okay. They don’t stand out. So they spend a lot of time and money trying to sell a product that isn’t exciting or is just like everything else.


But if you want to make 8 figures in 24 months, your golden ticket is to find an irresistible product people are dying for. Nothing else can compare to how easy it is to grow your business fast and make your life much easier.

Here are a few quick examples of how powerful Irresistible Products can be:

In November 2022, Taylor Swift sold 2 million tickets for her concert in one day.


Why They’re Irresistible: Taylor Swift’s concerts are more than just performances; they’re experiences. She has a huge, dedicated fan base that feels connected to her music and persona. Her tickets sell out in minutes because fans know they’re getting an unforgettable show.

In November of 2022, ChatGPT reached over 1 million users in 5 days.


Why It’s Irresistible: ChatGPT offers powerful AI technology to assist with writing, learning, and more. It’s user-friendly and continually improving, making it a valuable tool for businesses and individuals.


Takeaway: Ensure your product is easy to use and continuously evolving based on user feedback.


My Minecraft Books


Between 2015 and 2017, I sold over 1 million Minecraft books.


Why It’s Irresistible: Minecraft was a global phenomenon and a trend that continued to grow to 174 million users. By capitalizing on the trend, I wrote books for a Minecraft fan base that was already desperate for Minecraft fan fiction.


Takeaway: Find a global trend and create products and services that help support the trend.


The Key to Finding Irresistible Products


The key to finding irresistible products is to go to the most common places where people can buy what they are desperate for.


And, nothing has the most insight into people’s desperate buying patterns than bestseller lists. Bestseller lists are a treasure trove of information to help you find what people desperately want to buy.


Here is the step-by-step guide I used to find both the Minecraft and Birdwatching binoculars ideas, which I eventually grew to 8 figures:


Actionable Step-by-Step Plan to Find Irresistible Products


  1. Go to the biggest marketplaces you can find (Amazon, eBay, Walmart, Udemy for courses, etc.)

  2. Find the link to their bestsellers by googling Amazon and other marketplaces or searching on their platform.

  3. Scroll through their different categories and look for more generic books or products you can easily source, produce, or imitate.

  4. Find the top-selling product, and look at all of their 3-star reviews and below. You can use software to scrape these and then feed them into ChatGPT, and ask ChatGPT to identify patterns of customer’s biggest complaints.

  5. Find a manufacturer (to produce your product), or write a book, or create a course highlighting all the missing areas customers complained about.

  6. Create a listing on one of these global marketplaces and watch your product, book, or course take off.


And, using what we learned from our takeaways:

  • Communicate an emotional connection (Taylor Swift);

  • Highlight your product’s uniqueness and coolness (Cybertruck);

  • Show how easy it is to use and how it makes your life easier (ChatGPT), and

  • Show how it supports a current global trend (Minecraft).


Conclusion


Making 8 figures in less than 24 months is possible. And with the right irresistible product, it’s not just possible; it’s easy.


So, if you only have a good product, it's time to get rid of it. Then go onto all the bestseller lists you can find, and find the irresistible product that everyone wants.


Then, make it your own by communicating an emotional connection with your buyer, highlighting your product’s coolness, making it easy to use, and jumping on a trend.
